Introducing the new Root Industries Lithium Wheels! The guys at Root just launched their Lithium 120 x 30 wheels, which are a true 30mm width wheel, as opposed to their Lotus wheels, which have a 30mm PU but a 24mm core. 30mm wide wheels are gaining in popularity in the industry, as they add a significant amount of grip over conventional 110x24mm wheels due to their extra width and a larger contact patch.

If you are going to run the Lithium wheels and currently run traditional 110x24mm wheels, make sure that both your deck and forks are able to accommodate a wheel with a 30mm core.

Root Industries Lithium Wheels are 88A PU, which is harder and more durable than 86A wheels. Root Industries Scooter Wheels are 30mm wide at the core and should be used with 30mm wheels spacers. The PU width is 30mm. Most pro scooter forks and decks were designed to handle a 24mm wheel core. Due to their massive grip, 30mm wheels are the new favorite of pro scooter riders.

While they will feel a little strange at first if you are used to riding 24mm wide wheels, you will soon learn to love the massive grip they offer! But beware, since 30mm wheels are relatively new to the market, ensure both your deck and forks can handle a 30mm wide wheel.

Root Industries Lithium Wheels have a 120mm outer diameter, making them perfect for intermediate to pro riders looking for maximum speed for big air park tricks. While 115mm and 125mm are only produced by a few scooter manufacturers, 120mm wheels are the norm now on any intermediate to pro freestyle scooter.
